Superintendent Letter

                                          June  2016

KariYeater.jpgDear Community Members,

The District’s adopted three-year plan that outlines our goals and priorities for academic programs and services is called the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP).  The LCAP is fully aligned with each of the school’s Single School Plan for Student Achievement.  The LCAP is a requirement for all public school districts to account for all of the “restored” funding that we are receiving from the State.  The majority of the restored funding is designated supplemental/concentration grant funding that must be used to increase and improve student achievement for low income, English Learners, and foster youth students.

The LCAP is reviewed and revised annually to determine progress towards our goals.  The updated LCAP, along with the annual report, was presented for a public hearing at our regular board meeting on June 9th.  The updated LCAP was presented and approved at the June 23rd regular board meeting.

The current adopted LCAP for 2016-2019 is posted below for your reference in addition to a copy of the executive summary in English and Spanish along with Appendix A, Appendix B and Appendix C which provides further detail on the data and budgets within the LCAP.

Sincerely,

Kari Yeater

Superintendent
